Innovative Health Promotion Campaign Designed to Protect the Culture and Decrease The Impact of Sexually Transmitted Diseases

ATLANTA, October 26, 2021/ -- B Holding Group LLC, an Atlanta-based sexual wellness brand today announced the launch of an HBCU Campus Ambassador Program to promote health and wellness on Black College campuses across the country. Conceived by Jason Panda, Esq., Founder b condoms, the unique b condoms Campus Ambassador Program was designed to decrease health disparities, promote safe sex and allow ambassadors to earn additional income. Additionally, the program is built to empower ambassadors with the information necessary to educate their peers and expand a community of like-minded individuals with a passion toward protecting the culture and creating better health outcomes for people of color.

"As an HBCU graduate of Morehouse College, I've always sought to reach back into the community and work with next generation leaders to find creative ways to give back, promote health and move the culture forward," said Panda. "This 'HBCU' campus ambassador program reflects our sense of philanthropy and giving back. Given the health disparities that exist within our community, we felt it was the right thing to do to provide a program that promotes health and wellness and gives HBCU students an opportunity to lessen the financial stress so many are experiencing."

As we continue to deal with the COVID-19 crisis and its aftereffects, we must not lose sight of the enormous toll unplanned pregnancies and sexually transmitted infections are having on the Black community.  Research says that about 63% of African American women get pregnant unintentionally. African Americans accounted for 42% of new HIV diagnoses in the United States and dependent areas.  Further, the rate of reported chlamydia cases among Black females was five times the rate among White females and the overall rate of reported gonorrhea cases among Blacks in the United States was 7.7 times the rate among Whites.

“As the only Black owned condom company in the United States, our founding mission is to decrease health disparities and to protect the culture.  HBCU campuses are the educational power center for the Black community.  More than 50% of the nation's African American public-school teachers and 70% of African American dentists and physicians earned degrees at HBCUs.  Our HBCU Campus Ambassador program empowers students to educate their communities, promote sexual health and earn money." explained Panda.
